T’puram: A 61-year-old fisherman died after collapsing while fishing near Adimalathura on Tuesday.The deceased was identified as N Antony, a resident of Kottukal panchayat. According to Vizhinjam coastal police, Antony went fishing with Romance, Thaddeus and Alex around 3.30pm on Monday.While fishing in a pond located about 18 km from Adimalathura, Antony reportedly complained of uneasiness and suddenly collapsed. The companions immediately rushed him back to the shore and shifted him to the Medical College Hospital.However, he succumbed around 1am on Tuesday while undergoing treatment, police said. Police have registered a case, and further procedures have been initiated.Antony is survived by his wife Daisy and sons Shaji, Manu, Baiju and Vinod. His daughters-in-law are Lincy Antony, Vinci and Rinsha.
