Jaipur: The First Rajasthan Senior Women’s Football League, organised under the aegis of Rajasthan Football Association at Rajasthan United Football Club ground in Jaipur, concluded with great fanfare here on Saturday.Chief guests at the closing ceremony were Roshni Tak, Chairperson, Women’s Wing, Rajasthan Football Association, Lal Singh Sankhla, President, Jalore Olympic Association, Hariram Bishnoi, Secretary, District Football Association, Jalore, Surendra Singh Balot, Madan Singh Rathore, football coach) and Ashwini Kumar, NIS Football Coach.Dilip Singh Shekhawat, secretary of the Rajasthan Football Association, said that five teams from the state participated in the league, which began on May 19. Two matches were played on the final day of the league.The first match was played at 7 am between Royal Football Club Jaipur and Jaipur City Football Club. In a thrilling match, both teams displayed excellent performance and ended in a 4-4 draw.The second match was played at 4 pm between Zinc Football Academy and Real Jaipur FC. Zinc Football Academy performed brilliantly in this match, registering a one-sided 8-0 victory. With this win, Zinc Football Academy earned 21 points after winning 7 out of 8 matches, while Magan Singh Football Academy finished second with 19 points. Unbeaten Zinc Football Academy clinched the title of First Rajasthan Senior Women’s Football League.In the individual awards, Dangi Marandi (Zinc Football Academy) emerged as the Best Scorer with 7 goals, Manju as the Emerging Player of the Tournament, Tamanna as the Best Defender, Hansa as the Best Midfielder and Sonam Ghosh as the Best Goalkeeper.In the closing ceremony, the winner Zinc Football Academy and the runner-up Magan Singh Rajvi Football Academy, Bikaner were honoured by the guests by presenting them trophies and individual prizes.Satish Jangid, Technical Director, Amar Singh, Match Commissioner, Avakash Dayama, Javed Khan, Ankit Sharma and Pawan Kumar, Match Referee, played an important role in the successful conduct of the competition.
