New Delhi: A disaster was averted after a fire broke out in the stilt parking of a residential building in east Delhi’s Vivek Vihar C block on Sunday afternoon. The massive blaze that killed nine people and injured a man had been reported in the B block of the same area last week.According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a call was received about the fire around 1.40 pm after which a fire tender with around six fire personnel rushed to the spot. Police had also received an alert at the same time, stating that a fire had broken out in an electricity junction box installed in the stilt parking of the building.The fire was completely doused by 2.40 pm. No injury or casualty was reported.
