Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed officials to file FIRs against individuals submitting false inquiry reports in official matters, emphasizing that any delay in addressing public grievances will be “inexcusable”. He told officials to pinpoint and fix issues that are blocking effective problem-solving.The CM issued the warning while interacting with complainants during the Janata Darshan programme at Gorakhnath Temple, where around 150 complainants shared their issues with him.Yogi instructed administrative and police officers to ensure time-bound, impartial and quality disposal of complaints. “Every case must be investigated fairly before it is closed. If any incorrect report has been filed, identify the person responsible and register an FIR,” he told officials. Some complainants alleged that misleading reports had been attached to their cases. Taking note, the CM warned that negligence or deliberate delay in assisting victims would invite strict action. He also directed authorities to take firm legal measures in cases related to alleged land encroachment.Officials were instructed to identify and resolve any challenges that hindered the resolution of victims’ problems. Strict action will be taken against anyone who deliberately delays cases at any level. As in previous sessions, several people sought financial assistance for medical treatment. The chief minister asked officials to expedite hospital estimates and forward them to the govt, assuring adequate help from the CM’s discretionary fund.Earlier in the morning, Yogi offered prayers at the temple, paid homage to his guru, Mahant Avaidyanath, and visited the temple cowshed, where he fed jaggery to cows.
