Prayagraj: An FIR has been registered against a 17-year-old dance teacher under relevant sections of the Pocso Act for allegedly outraging the modesty of a three-year-old girl in the city. The police have launched a fresh investigation and taken the accused into custody.Police are collecting evidence and have also recorded the victim’s statement.Police said the family members of the girl had accused the dance teacher at a play school of outraging their daughter’s modesty on Aug 19 and lodged an FIR under appropriate sections of the Pocso Act.A senior police officer told TOI that an investigation was underway and all relevant evidence was being collected. He added that the victim’s medical report would be obtained and further legal action taken accordingly.
