The first case was registered against the management of a high school, acting on PSPCL letter number 340, dated January 5, 2026. The complainant alleged that the school had been operating a power generator without securing the mandatory clearance from the power corporation. Consequently, the police have initiated legal proceedings against the concerned management body.In a similar move, another private school in the same locality was booked under letter number 342, also dated January 5, 2026. The second institution was likewise accused of running its generator systems without the required legal permits.Departmental sources indicated that operating such machinery without explicit approval is a serious breach of departmental provisions. Such regulations are typically in place to monitor environmental impact, noise levels, and load management on the local power grid. tnn
