Gorakhpur: Divisional commissioner Indra Vikram Singh on Friday directed officials and executing agencies to complete all ongoing infrastructure projects worth over ₹10 crore by Dec, stressing that delays increase costs and inconvenience to the public.Chairing a review meeting at the commissionerate auditorium, Singh said projects become truly beneficial only when completed on time. He instructed departments to resolve bottlenecks promptly and ensure better coordination among agencies. He also warned that strict action would be taken against those responsible for undue delays.The commissioner reviewed progress on several key road-widening and strengthening projects, including the Gorakhpur-Pipraich road, district jail bypass, Char Phatak-Asuran Chowk road, HN Singh Chowk-Gorakhnath temple route, Maniram-Balapar-Tikariya-Gangi Bazar road, Deoria bypass, Ram Janaki Marg and multiple urban and rural connectivity corridors across the district.He also assessed the status of the Virasat corridor, Domingarh-Madhopur Bandha road project, Green City colony link road, Rajghat-Kalesar route and widening works connecting Gorakhpur airport to Rajhi camp.Apart from road infrastructure, Singh reviewed construction of the new collectorate building, residential facilities for the PAC women battalion and special security force and residential and non-residential buildings at the College of Veterinary Science.District magistrate Deepak Meena, SDM, Sadar and officials of various executing agencies attended the meeting.
