HISAR: A 31-year-old Anganwadi worker and her two children were found dead in a 10-foot-deep water storage tank at their farmhouse in Haryana’s Fatehabad district, with police registering a case against her husband following allegations of domestic harassment and abetment.The case took a new turn after an alleged final video recorded by the woman surfaced. Sudesh said in the video that she had administered poisonous spray to her two children before consuming it herself and jumping into the water tank.Sudesh, a resident of Mehuwala village in the Bhattu area, was found dead along with her daughter Jyoti, 9, and son Vineet, 8, on Thursday. The children were students at the village school.Police said the bodies were recovered from the water storage tank in the courtyard of the family’s farmhouse. Neighbours pulled the three out, but they had already drowned.According to Praveen’s complaint, Sudesh had been facing prolonged domestic harassment from her husband, Sandeep Kumar, whom she married in 2014. He also alleged that Sandeep was addicted to alcohol and that the couple frequently quarrelled.The family had reportedly had an argument a day before the incident. Police said these allegations were being verified as part of the investigation.Praveen told police that Sandeep had initially called him on Thursday asking whether Sudesh and the children were at his house. Shortly afterwards, he allegedly called back and said that he had found their bodies in the farmhouse tank.The alleged final video was recovered from Sudesh’s phone. She reportedly held Sandeep responsible for her actions and described what she had allegedly done to the children before taking her own life.Police subsequently registered a case against Sandeep on the basis of Praveen’s complaint. The woman had also allegedly uploaded an Instagram reel shortly before her death.The bodies were sent to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police said statements of Sudesh’s parental family would also be recorded.An officer said the investigation was being conducted from all possible angles and that further action would be taken after the post-mortem report and recording of statements.The police are also examining the alleged final video, the circumstances surrounding the deaths and the allegations of domestic harassment to establish the sequence of events.
