Kolkata: BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya claimed on Friday that the actual fight between the two factions of the Trinamool Congress is not over the symbol but over the ₹1,000 crore lying in 11 bank accounts. “The money in the bank accounts is people’s money which was extorted through cut money and syndicate raj. No one is interested about the symbols,” he claimed.

He said that a time will come when AITC’s twin-flower will cease to exist. “On July 4, I had said that there will be no more be the Trinamool party symbol on EVMs in the coming days,” Bhattacharya said. West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari said ECI heard both the parties and then taken a decision as per the rules.

“When pride rules anything, the fall happens. Gods break one’s pride,” Adhikari said.

“She (Mamata) called ‘Mahakumbh’ as ‘Mrityukumbh’ and ‘Sanatani’ dharma was referred to as ‘ganda dharma’. On the day Ram Mandir was inaugurated and pujas were performed, she took out the procession against the Ram Mandir. The wrath of Ram and the gods have fallen on her and the all powerful has destroyed everything,” Adhikari said.
