Jaipur: City police Tuesday arrested a father-son duo for allegedly forging sale deeds, agreements and affidavits to claim ownership of a plot belonging to the family of a retired Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer who died during the Covid pandemic.DCP (South) Rajarshi Raj Varma identified the accused as Prem Chand Bairwa (56), and his son, Vipul Sulania (28), both residents of Parvati Nagar Extension in Jaipur. She said that her late father, Hazari Lal Bairwa, owned a plot in Parvati Nagar Extension.Varma said that after her father’s death, the complainant reviewed details of his properties and later sold the plot. However, a distant relative, Prem Chand Bairwa, subsequently claimed that Hazari Lal Bairwa had sold the property to him before his death.Police said that when the complainant sought records from the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), she allegedly found that Prem Chand and his son had submitted forged agreements, sale documents and affidavits to obtain a lease deed for the plot. She alleged that the accused had prepared fake documents to establish ownership and secure official records in their favour.Based on the complaint, police registered a case under multiple IPC sections, including cheating and criminal conspiracy.A special investigation team was formed under the supervision of additional DCP Lalit Kishore Sharma and ACP (Sodala) Satyendra Singh Negi.Investigators are now questioning the accused to identify others involved in the alleged conspiracy.
