Gurgaon: A 32-year-old man and his three children were killed while his wife suffered injuries after a speeding truck rammed their motorcycle on Nuh-Tauru Road late Tuesday night.The accident took place around 11 pm when Shakir was travelling towards his village, Padla Shahpuri, with his wife Nasreen and their three children on the motorcycle. Police said the family was near Maria Manzil School when the truck collided with their bike.The impact was severe, and Shakir and his three children died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Shakir (32), his one-month-old daughter Zahra, two-year-old daughter Sajra and seven-year-old daughter Gazala.Nasreen suffered serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to the medical college at Nalhar, where she is undergoing treatment. Police said her condition was being monitored by doctors.“The accident took place near Maria Manzil School around 11 pm. A truck hit the motorcycle on which the family was travelling. Four people died in the accident, while the woman was seriously injured and has been admitted to the medical college at Nalhar,” said a police officer.The truck driver fled the spot after leaving the vehicle behind, police said. On receiving information about the accident, Singh reached the spot along with a police team and inspected the scene.“The truck involved in the accident has been taken into custody and efforts are being made to trace the driver. The bodies have been shifted to the mortuary at Nalhar medical college,” the officer said.Police have initiated action in the case and said the next steps would be taken on the basis of a complaint from the family.
