Namakkal: The district fast track mahila court in Namakkal on Monday, sentenced three convicts, Manikandan, Surya and Prabhu, to 20 years’ imprisonment each and imposed a fine of 1,000 each in a Pocso case linked to the sexual assault of two minor girls in Rasipuram in 2020.A total of 12 accused were arrested by the Rasipuram All Women Police in connection with the case. “With the latest verdict, a total of eight accused have now been convicted in the case,” said Namakkal SP S Vimala. She added that the court had earlier sentenced four convicts to 20 years each in 2024 and one more convict in 2025.The SP further commended the police team for their investigation and efforts in securing the convictions.
