Dharmapuri: A farmer died after a wild boar collided with his two-wheeler in Tirumalvadi village, in Dharmapuri district on Friday night.The deceased has been identified as Madhappan, 62, of Tirumalvadi village.Police said the accident took place around 9pm when he was heading to his farmland after dinner, to guard his standing crops from wild animals. “A wild boar which crossed the road suddenly, collided with Madhappan’s bike. He suffered a severe head injury in the impact and died on the spot,” said a police officer from Marandahalli station. Locals who witnessed the accident, alerted the police who recovered the body and sent it to the Dharmapuri govt medical College and Hospital for a postmortem. A case has been registered.
