Bokaro: A joint team of Kasmara police and authorised company investigators busted a fake branded goods manufacturing racket at a warehouse near Telmunga Block Chowk late Saturday and arrested operator Gautam Kumar.Acting on a tip-off, the team raided the facility and recovered counterfeit mustard oil, toilet cleaners, detergents, packaging materials, chemicals, labels and packing machines. Police said the accused filled low-cost oil and chemicals into bottles of reputed brands and sold them at higher prices.“Gautam Kumar was found involved in manufacturing and packaging duplicate products using fake labels of several companies,” said Ranjan Singh, officer in charge of Kasmar Police Station.The raid followed a complaint by Ajay Kumar Pandit, authorised representative of various renowned companies. Police seized hundreds of fake cleaning products, oil containers, wrappers and other materials. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway, police officials said.
