Civil aviation minister of state Murlidhar Mohol on Saturday dismissed the foreign media reports about the Air India crash investigation in Ahmedabad that killed 260 people in June 2025, adding that the probe is still ongoing and no final conclusions have been reached.Mohol said, “I just want to inform you all that our investigation agencies are probing the matter. Should we have faith in our own agencies or outsiders? Our agencies are working on it,” he said, as quoted by news agency PTI.Mohol further reiterated on waiting for the final report before making any judgments. “Once the final report is finalised, then only it will be justifiable to comment on it,” he added, stressing the need to trust India’s own investigation agencies rather than foreign media reports. This comes after an Italian media report blamed the pilots for the crash. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) had also stepped in on Thursday to clarify the situation. They firmly stated that the investigation is still in progress. The AAIB also labeled media reports claiming the investigation’s completion as “incorrect and speculative.”The devastating accident occurred when Air India’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft, bound for London Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad on June 12, last year. The crash claimed 241 passenger lives along with 19 others, marking it as one of India’s worst aviation disasters.
