Kanpur: As many as 30 scorers and umpires appeared for practical examination of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association held here at Green Park stadium on Thursday.Thirty scorers scored the match via video. A written test for the scorers was also conducted later.Meanwhile, the umpires underwent a practical test by officiating an actual match. Former international umpire Anil Chaudhary conducted the practical test for umpires, while P Jayapal conducted the practical test for scorers.According to chairperson umpires committee, Manoj Pundeer, the objective of the examination is to impartially assess the practical competence and understanding of the laws of cricket of umpires and scorers eligible for the state panel. The examination process was conducted in accordance with established standards.Anurag Rathore, Ramji Tiwari, AP Singh, and SP.Singh were present as educator assistants. General secretary UPCA Prem Manohar Gupta invigiliated examination hall.Curator Workshop: As many as 25 cricket curators of the state are participating in the two-day state level workshop which commenced here at Dr Gaur Hari Singhania Cricket Academy auditorium on Thursday.Taposh Chatterji senior BCCI curator and Surendra Sinth Chauhan addressed the junior curators and told them about the preperation and maintinance of pitch and ground .Prem Manohar Gupta general secretary UPCA paid tribute to senior curator late Shiv Kumar.
