Northern Railway’s Lucknow division has taken a key step toward strengthening railway safety and operations. On Tuesday, the division signed a MoU with the Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO), Lucknow. Under the agreement, 161 ex-servicemen will be appointed as pointsmen on a contractual basis to address manpower shortages and enhance the efficiency of train operations.
