Kanpur: Four armed miscreants allegedly stormed the house of a eunuch late Thursday night, held her and her driver hostage at gunpoint, assaulted them, and decamped with around Rs 10 lakh in cash, 100 grams of gold, and a motorcycle.The incident took place in the Shastri Nagar area of Dakari village under the Jajmau outpost of Kotwali Gangaghat police station.In her complaint, Vaishali alleged that around 2am, four miscreants entered her house after placing a ladder against the rear wall. She alleged that the accused held her and her driver, Mohammad Asif, hostage, assaulted them, and then tied their hands and feet.Vaishali further told police that the robbers also took away the DVR of the CCTV cameras installed at the house before fleeing.On receiving information about the incident, SP Jayprakash Singh and CO City Vini Singh reached the spot and inspected the scene.Fellow eunuchs, who had gathered at the spot, claimed that Vaishali had a rivalry with another eunuch living in the locality and alleged that the person orchestrated the robbery through hired miscreants.CO City Vini Singh said an investigation was underway and assured that the robbers would be arrested soon.
