Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir entrepreneur and business leader Ufair Ajaz Kitab has been featured on the cover of the September 2026 edition of Aalimi Nation magazine.

The cover story, titled “Create, Don’t Wait”, traces Kitab’s professional and entrepreneurial journey and features his views on entrepreneurship, employment generation, skill development and the need for a stronger enterprise ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.

The magazine was showcased at the conclusion of a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) event in Srinagar, where Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo appreciated the publication and the feature on Kitab’s entrepreneurial journey.

Kitab, who serves as Convener, Skills Development, CII J&K, has been associated with initiatives focused on industry-academia linkages, skill development, employability and opportunities for youth.

“Jammu and Kashmir has an exceptionally talented young generation. We need to create an environment where our youth are encouraged not only to seek employment, but to develop skills, build enterprises, innovate and become employment creators themselves,” Kitab said.

Associated with the automobile and mobility sector through Kashmir Motors and Kitab Mobility, Kitab has built his professional journey around business development, mobility, entrepreneurship and industry engagement.

The Aalimi Nation feature also highlights challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the region, including access to finance, mentorship, market linkages, institutional support and practical skills.

“ A degree alone should not define the future of a young person. Skills, adaptability, discipline and the confidence to create something independently are becoming equally important,” Kitab said, stressing the role of government, industry and educational institutions in building an enabling ecosystem.

The feature’s central message, “Create, Don’t Wait”, encourages young people to acquire relevant skills, innovate and build sustainable economic opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir.
