Nagpur: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) said it expects no recurrence of the alleged irregularities in counting donation box offerings at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, while expressing confidence that the ongoing SIT and police investigation will reach a conclusive outcome.The assurance came at the conclusion of the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak held in Karnataka’s Belagavi.Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said in a written statement, “Participants in the meeting expressed grief over the incident of irregularities in the counting of the donation box offerings at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, and exuded confidence that the ongoing SIT and police action, initiated at the request of the Teerth Kshetra Nyas, will reach a decisive turn.”Ambekar added, “It is expected of the Teerth Kshetra Nyas to ensure that no such incident occurs again that could hurt the reverence and deep faith of Ram devotees.”The meeting was held from July 10 to 12 in the presence of RSS sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale and 226 karyakartas.The meeting also reviewed training camps held across the country after March 2026, in which 83 Sangh Shiksha Vargs and 12 Karyakarta Vikas Vargs were conducted, training 18,842 swayamsevaks in subjects including daily shakha, Sangh karyapaddhati, Gram Vikas, Kutumba Prabodhan, disaster management and environment.A special campaign to expand RSS shakhas across the country was planned for September under Shakha Vistar Yojana. The meeting also reviewed programmes completed during the Sangh’s centenary year and finalised the outline for remaining events, including plans to engage new contacts made through centenary programmes in social work and the Panch Parivartan campaign.Bhagwat’s travel plan for 2026-27 was discussed, along with the ongoing census, challenges from population imbalance, and the need for priority de-addiction efforts amid growing drug abuse among youth. Programmes to mark the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj were also planned.The meeting also held detailed discussions on implementing action plans at the shakha level, with the Shakha Vistar Yojana positioned as the primary vehicle for expansion this year. The Sangh’s review of centenary year activities was aimed at sustaining momentum built through the year long celebrations, while the emphasis on drug de-addiction reflected concern over its spread among the younger population across the country.
