Times News NetworkKanpur: Mohd Ghayas, 32, an engineer and the son of Congress leader Mohd Fazal Khan, was found hanging at Aman Paradise Hotel in Saket Nagar on Saturday, police said. His family suspects that his body was hanged after killing him. The police sent the body for a post-mortem examination.Ghayas, a resident of Talaq Mahal, worked as an engineer at a private company in Delhi and had been staying at home for the last six months due to work from home. Family members said that he had left home on Friday evening, saying that he was going with friends and would not return at night. They said he stayed at a hotel in Saket Nagar.Police said a member of the hotel staff went to his room at around 11.30 am on Saturday, but the door did not open even after calling out. When the police arrived and opened the room with a master key, they found Ghayas hanging from a fan with a bedsheet.The hotel manager Saurabh Kumar said that Ghayas arrived at the hotel with a woman on Friday. He said that at around 7.30 pm, Ghayas left the hotel to drop the woman off and then returned to the room. He had ordered dinner online.Family members who arrived after receiving information said that Ghayas’s feet were touching the bed, and expressed suspicion that he was murdered and then his body was hung.
