Chennai: ELGi Equipments Ltd, manufacturer of air compressors, has revised timelines for its planned capacity expansion at its manufacturing facility in Kinathukadavu, Coimbatore, citing delays in obtaining statutory and regulatory approvals. The project, first announced on May 27, 2024, involves the creation of infrastructure to expand production capacity for air compressors and related parts. Under the original plan, Phase I envisaged scaling up capacities for diesel powered screw air compressors (DPSAC) and the global support centre (GSC) by the fourth quarter of FY26.However, the proposed capacity addition for the GSC is now expected to be completed in the first quarter of FY27, while the expansion of DPSAC capacity has been pushed to the fourth quarter of FY28.The revised timelines are on account of delays in securing the necessary approvals, the company said in a regulatory filing.The company noted that the delays have not had any impact on its revenue.
