Chennai: The Election Commission of India on Friday transferred superintendents of police in four districts of Tamil Nadu as part of poll preparedness for the April 23 assembly elections.G Jawahar has been posted as SP of Kancheepuram, K Prabakar as SP of Perambalur, E Sundaravathanam as SP of Thanjavur, and G S A Mayilvaganan as SP of Tenkasi. The ECI said officers transferred out should not be posted in any election-related assignments until completion of the polls. In a separate statement, the ECI said 6,48,285 Form 6 applications were received across 234 constituencies in the state after publication of the final electoral roll till March 26.
