Buxar: The district administration has stepped up security arrangements for Dussehra, with 346 puja pandals proposed across the district and magistrates and police personnel set to be deployed at 199 locations.Addressing a news conference, DM Sahila and SP Shubham Arya said 151 of the proposed pandals fall under Buxar subdivision and 195 under Dumraon subdivision. Patrol teams will cover 33 locations, while one zonal magistrate will be deployed in each subdivision.Eight quick response teams (QRTs), five in Buxar and three in Dumraon, will also be deployed. Barricades and parking facilities will be arranged at 19 locations. The district control room can be contacted at 06183-223333.Puja committees have been directed to install CCTV cameras, ensure crowd management, provide separate entry and exit gates, maintain safe electrical connections and arrange cleanliness, medical facilities and ambulances.The main Vijayadashami programme will be held at Qila Maidan on Oct 20, while Bharat Milap Leela will take place at Yamuna Chowk on Oct 22.
