Hyderabad: The Enforcement Directorate has summoned IAS officer Amoy Kumar in connection with a land case in Hyderabad and asked him to appear before it on May 25. ED sources said the joint collector and the sub-registrar linked to the case were also summoned.The agency said this is a separate ECIR in which Amoy Kumar is being examined over alleged land transactions. Earlier, he was summoned by the ED in connection with the Bhoodan land case as well.Sources said Kumar was earlier questioned for seven hours in connection with a land dispute case in Maheswaram. Kumar, currently serving in the animal husbandry department, was the collector of Ranga Reddy district when the alleged crime took place. The ED has summoned him again as recording of his statement remains incomplete.Dharani, 22-A list under scannerThe ED’s investigation stems from an FIR registered by Maheswaram police in 2023. Though Amoy Kumar is not named as an accused at present, ED sources said his role is under scrutiny. During questioning, the agency asked him about the use of the Dharani portal, registration of properties listed under prohibitory categories, and the removal of properties from such lists.
