Mohali: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) search operation at a realty group’s offices in Sector 119 concluded on Wednesday afternoon after nearly 53 hours, with the 15-member team scrutinising land-related documents, official records and digital data. The ED team, which had started the search at TDI House on Monday morning, left the premises at 3:45 pm on Wednesday. During the operation, staff present at the premises were also questioned.Sources said the ED team prepared copies of files and digital data considered relevant to the investigation and took them along after completing the search. The team also created clones of data stored on mobile phones for further examination. The search at TDI is reportedly linked to two separate lines of investigation. The action at TDI Buildtech is understood to be connected with alleged irregularities in compensation paid in connection with land acquired for the PR-6 road project. Sources said an alleged excess compensation of around Rs 6 crore is also being examined. The search at TDI City Centre is reportedly linked to ED’s probe into the alleged Rs 650-crore Haryana govt fund scam and suspected money layering.Digital data is likely to be examined alongside physical records to establish links between transactions, documents and individuals connected with the investigation. The ED has not issued any statement so far.The ED’s search at TDI House lasted about three hours longer than its previous operation at the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (Gmada) office, where the search had continued for around 50 hours.
