Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum police on Saturday announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for information about each of the three accused in the Sept 24 Golmuri-based PSU bank robbery incident in which 23 kg of gold and Rs 43 lakh in cash were looted.The accused were identified as Priyadarshi alias Darshan Kumar of Samastipur in Bihar, Akshay Kumar alias Saka of Patna in Bihar, and Aman Singh of Raniganj in West Bengal.Releasing photographs of the three suspects, police appealed to the public to help trace and arrest them while assuring confidentiality for those providing actionable, verifiable inputs.A case was registered at Golmuri police station under sections 310(2) and 311 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 27 of the Arms Act. A 20-member special investigation team, led by SP (City) Lalit Meena, is investigating the case. Teams have been sent to Bihar, West Bengal, and other possible hideouts to trace and arrest the accused.SSP Ehtesham Waquarib said, “The case is being investigated to ensure the arrest of all the fugitives.”Sources in the police said the accused have been continuously changing their hideouts to evade arrest. Information about their movements and possible escape routes are being collected and technical evidence pursued to establish their whereabouts.DGP Tadasha Mishra reviewed the progress of the investigation on Thursday and directed police officials to ensure that the absconding accused are arrested at the earliest.
