Kanpur: A 17-year-old girl, Priya, suffered grievous injuries after a dumper hit the scooter she was travelling on with her mother in Bharthana town area of Etawah district on Wednesday. She was first rushed to a Community Health Centre for primary treatment and later shifted to the district hospital.According to reports, Priya, a resident of Lohri Baharpura, was on her way to appear for her board examination at Jan Sahyogi Inter College at Modi village, when the accident occurred at Bajaja Line intersection. Priya, who was riding pillion on the scooter, fell on the road and came under the rear wheel of the dumper. She was rushed to the nearest CHC, where doctors, after primary treatment, referred her to the district hospital. ASP Shrishchand said, “Police started an investigation into the matter and are searching for the dumper driver, who managed to flee the site after the accident. Further action will be taken on the basis of a complaint.”tnn
