Ahmedabad: The city and most parts of Gujarat are likely to witness limited rainfall over the next few days, with little possibility of heavy showers, according to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast issued on Saturday. However, parts of Saurashtra and South Gujarat may receive light to moderate rain.According to data from the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC), Gujarat has received 24.6% of its seasonal rainfall so far. On Saturday, only two talukas in Valsad district recorded rainfall — Kaprada received 3mm and Nanapondha 2mm.Ahmedabad witnessed partly cloudy conditions on Saturday, but temperatures remained above normal. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 36.8 degrees celsius, 2.8 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 27.2 degrees, 0.9 degree above normal.The IMD has forecast generally cloudy weather for Ahmedabad on Sunday as well. Across Gujarat, maximum temperatures remained between 31°C and 36°C amid high humidity levels.
