Kanpur: The health department launched a campaign in Kanpur on World Tuberculosis Day on Tuesday. MLA Mahesh Trivedi, Saroj Kureel MLC Salil Vishnoi jointly flagged off a Nikhshay vehicle from the new auditorium at Sarsaiya Ghat on the occasion. Nikshay Poshan Potli was distributed among 25 TB patients .Following the theme of the World TB Day —‘Yes! We Can End TB – Led by Bharat, Powered by Janbhagidari’ , a call was made to achieve the goal of TB elimination through public participation.The heads of 58 Gram Panchayats declared TB free were honoured and 16 Nikshay Mitras who contributed to the Nikshay Poshan Yojana during the year 2025 were given certificates. DM Jitendra Prartap Singh greeted additional director medical health and family welfare Kanpur division G K Mishra, CMO Dr Hari Datt Nemi and TB officer Subodh Prakash for effective execution of National TB Abolition programme. tnn
