New Delhi: Dr Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director of Paras Health, has been appointed Co-Chair of the FICCI Healthcare Committee, the industry body said on Thursday.

In his new role, Dr Nagar is expected to focus on advancing digital and AI-enabled healthcare delivery, strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Tier II and Tier III cities, building workforce capacity, and supporting policy frameworks aimed at improving patient safety and affordability.

With over 19 years of leadership experience, Dr Nagar has been instrumental in expanding Paras Health’s footprint to eight hospitals across Gurugram and Panchkula in Haryana; Patna and Darbhanga in Bihar; Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh; Udaipur in Rajasthan; Ranchi in Jharkhand; and Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.

Under his leadership, the organisation has focused on expanding access to quality healthcare while integrating innovation and global best practices into hospital management and care delivery.

Dr Nagar holds an Executive Management Programme in Healthcare Delivery from Harvard Business School, is a graduate of Singularity University, has an MPhil from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), and an Advanced Diploma in Healthcare Management from Imperial College London.

“It is a privilege to take on the responsibility of Co-Chair of the FICCI Healthcare Committee. India’s healthcare sector stands at a critical juncture where policy support, innovation, and collaboration across stakeholders will be key to building resilient and inclusive healthcare systems,” Dr Nagar said.

He added that he looks forward to working with FICCI and industry leaders to support reforms that enhance accessibility, quality and sustainability of healthcare delivery.

Congratulating Dr Nagar, Dr Harsh Mahajan, Mentor, FICCI Health and Services and Founder and Chairman of Mahajan Imaging & Labs, said his expertise in healthcare leadership and understanding of clinical technology and policy would strengthen the Committee’s initiatives and drive impactful reforms in the sector.
