Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU), Pimpri, Pune will organise its 17th Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, May 9, at 3:30 pm in the university auditorium. The Union Minister for Communications and Minister for Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, will be the chief guest.The ceremony will be presided over by P. D. Patil, Chancellor, of the university. On this occasion, Honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degrees will be conferred upon Dr. (Brig) Amarjeet Singh (Retd. Brigadier), former Officiating Vice Chancellor and former Dean, and Dr. A. L. Kakrani, eminent Professor and Director (Academic Collaboration), for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields.A total of 31 meritorious students will be awarded gold medals. Overall, 18719 graduates will receive degrees, including 47 Ph.D., 16,728 postgraduate, 1,944 undergraduate, and 15 diploma recipients across various faculties.
