Pune: Dr D Y Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU), Pune, has secured a position in the Top 51–150 band worldwide for dentistry and the Top 451–500 band globally for medicine in the QS World Rankings by Subject 2026.Smita Jadhav, pro-vice-chancellor of the university, said, “This dual global recognition in the QS Rankings for both dentistry and medicine is a testament to the meticulous execution of our strategic vision. Under the guidance of our leadership, we remain steadfast in our commitment to foster a globally competitive environment through innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and international excellence in patient care.“This double recognition places DPU among the group of international healthcare institutions, reinforcing its status as India’s premier hub for dental and medical education, clinical excellence and high-impact research. Nationally, the university maintains a stalwart presence, consistently ranking among the Top 3–5 dental institutions as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).“This milestone is a direct reflection of the visionary leadership and tireless mission of DPU chancellor Dr P D Patil, whose commitment to creating a world-class academic ecosystem has transformed the landscape of professional education in India,” a statement issued by the university read.
