Patiala: A special documentary on the life and teachings of Guru Ravidas has so far been screened in 86 villages of Patiala district, as part of the Punjab govt’s initiative to commemorate the 650th Prakash Purab of Guru Ravidas, said deputy commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal.The DC added that the documentary was being watched by people in eight villages every day. The documentary was screened last night in Joginder Nagar and Bakraha villages of Samana block, Chheetanwala and Himmatwala villages of Nabha block, Khudda village of Sanaur block, and Nalas Khurd and Kotla villages of Rajpura block, he said, adding that a large number of villagers watched the documentary and drew inspiration from the message of equality, social justice, devotion to God and universal brotherhood propagated by Guru Ravidas.He added that chief minister Bhagwant Mann had flagged off special vans from Sangrur, enabling the screening of the 30-minute documentary in villages of Nabha, Samana, Sanaur and Rajpura blocks.MSID:: 132515309 413 |
