Dharmapuri: Former state BJP president K Annamalai on Saturday projected NDA alliance as the alternative to decades of Dravidian dominance in Tamil Nadu. He accused DMK of deliberately keeping Dharmapuri lagging in development and stated caste-based politics was being used to divide people and stall progress.Campaigning for NDA candidates, including PMK’s Sowmiya Anbumani, Annamalai said the district would see new infrastructure projects, industries, and employment opportunities under NDA leadership. “DMK is an evil force that must be uprooted,” he said and termed the assembly election as a battle between clean governance and entrenched corruption. Annamalai invoked Bharat Mata and promised to build a temple in Dharmapuri as a symbol of unity, aligning BJP’s national identity politics with local pride.
