TIMES NEWS NETWORKMangaluru: Even as the special intensive revision (SIR) enumeration process is under progress for the past 20 days, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have reported 30,046 uncollectable enumeration forms (UEF). WhileDakshina Kannada has 18,626 UEFs, Udupi has 11,420 such forms as on Monday.While the SIR enumeration phase has been extended in Karnataka by 10 days, until Aug 8, officials have less than three weeks to complete the process. Death of voters, permanent shifting, already enrolled, absent andother voters are listed under the UEF category during the SIR process.The total electorate of Dakshina Kannada is 18,03,766 voters spread acorss 1,876 polling stations. BLOs have already distributed enumeration forms to all voters, and completed the digitisation of 11,94,286 forms. Meanwhile,Udupi has 10,63,876 voters in 1,112 polling stations and the digitisation process been completed on 7,53,451 enumeration forms as on Monday.Dakshina Kannada has reported 10,408 voters as dead. Meanwhile, Udupi has marked 5,720 UEF due to death. The BLOs of the costal districts have reported 9,611 permanently shifted voters, including 5,691 in Dakshina Kannada and 3,920 in Udupi.Deputy commissioners of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi have urged the voters to duly fill the enumeration forms at the earliest. Udupi DC Swaroopa TK said that the district has achieved 100% progress in thedistribution of enumeration forms. “This process is extremely important to prepare an accurate and error-freevoters’ list. In this regard, please verify the details in the forms delivered to you, fill in all the information accurately without any mistakes, and return them to booth level officers (BLO),” said DC Swaroopa.Dakshina Kannada DC Darshan HV also has urged all remaining voters to return the filled enumeration forms at the earliest.
