Srinagar, September 9:Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review and resolve issues hampering the smooth implementation of the Medicity project in Srinagar.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo, along with senior officers from the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA), Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, SIDCO, Industries & Commerce Department and Project Coordinator Sajad Nazir Shah, attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on the demarcation of land earmarked for the Medicity project and the provision of a 15-metre Right of Way (RoW)/buffer area between the new Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court complex and the Medicity site.
Taking note of the concerns raised by the concerned departments and the executing agency, the Divisional Commissioner directed the officers to conduct a joint inspection of the site to resolve the issue of land demarcation.
He further instructed that revenue officers from the concerned departments be associated with the demarcation process to ensure that the land is identified and demarcated strictly in accordance with the approved Medicity plan of 2021.
Anshul Garg also emphasized the need to ensure the requisite Right of Way for the Medicity project, stating that all necessary measures should be taken to facilitate its smooth implementation and prevent further impediments.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo assured full support from the district administration in facilitating the early resolution of the issues.
Earlier, Project Coordinator Sajad Nazir Shah briefed the meeting about the approved Medicity plan and the proposed Right of Way requirements.
