Meetings of ward members and former ward members will be held at the level of AEROs to help urban voters

Bokaro: The district administration will organise the second and final special camp at all polling stations on Aug 22 and 23 as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, following directions from the Election Commission.District election officer and deputy commissioner Ajay Nath Jha said the camps would be held from 10 am to 4 pm on both days. “Eligible citizens can complete procedures related to enrolment and shifting of names in the electoral roll,” he said.Indian citizens who have turned 18 can apply for inclusion in the electoral roll by submitting Form 6 along with the required declaration. Those who will attain 18 years of age by Oct 1 and ordinarily reside in a polling station area in Jharkhand can also apply.Voters whose polling stations are far from their homes, or whose family members are registered at different polling stations, can use Form 8 to seek shifting to a nearby polling station, wherever applicable.Jha clarified that SIR is meant only for eligible Indian citizens and appealed to foreign nationals not to participate. The administration urged eligible residents to visit their polling stations during the camp.State chief electoral officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar, after meeting representatives of recognised political parties on Friday, sought active cooperation for the camp at all polling stations.Eligible citizens must submit forms to BLOs or apply through the ECINET app or the voters’ service portal. Kumar also sought publicity in municipal and urban areas about the camp.
