Noida: Residents of Sector 105 have complained of persistent power supply issues over the past 15 days, with several households receiving only two phases instead of the standard three-phase supply.Residents from about a dozen houses reported that one phase of the supply has been missing for nearly a fortnight. The disruption has also rendered lifts in residential complexes non-functional.”The ongoing power disruption has made lifts in a few residential complexes non-operational, creating significant inconvenience for residents,” said a resident of B-168, Rohit Goel. He added that repeated complaints to the electricity department officials have not yielded any resolution so far. President of Sector 105 resident welfare association Deepak Sharma said around a dozen residents had reported the missing phase in the power supply. “Complaints to the electricity department’s helpline 1920 went unanswered, and meetings with officials have resulted in little progress,” he said.Chief engineer of the Noida power department, PVVNL, Sanjay Kumar Jain said the issue affected only a few houses and was caused by a fault in one phase of the low-tension underground line. “Our team worked on the issue, and it was addressed by Sunday evening,” he said.Residents also raised concerns about electricity billing issues, including delayed bills, incorrect bill amounts and malfunctioning meters. Some said replacing faulty meters can take up to two months.Superintending engineer Vivek Kumar Patel said a camp could be organised in coordination with the RWA to address residents’ concerns related to billing and meter issues.Residents, however, remained sceptical about a quick resolution, citing previous delays in addressing electricity-related complaints.
