He shared that the original version of the film had far more graphic content. However, only a portion of it made it to the final cut.

Only 60% violence made the final cut

Explaining the decision, Aejaz Gulab told Hindi Rush, “We had shot all the brutality in detail, but what you see in the film is just 60%. Since we’re in the OTT era and kids may eventually watch it, we had to tone it down.”He further revealed how Aditya Dhar pushed the team creatively, “Aditya Dhar gave us full freedom. He said, ‘Aejaz bhai (brother), think as brutally as you can. Kill in the most intense ways you can imagine.’ And we did exactly that, while he added his directorial touch,” he said.

Challenging climax and improvisations

Some of the film’s most striking sequences were improvised during filming. Aejaz Gulab recalled a key scene involving debris, which was created spontaneously. The climax sequence proved especially demanding. It runs for over 30 minutes and required extensive preparation. He revealed that the masjid sequence alone involved six days of rehearsals and 14 days of shooting. Maintaining continuity was a major challenge, with every department working in sync. The process included detailed coordination in hair, makeup, and costumes to ensure consistency across shots.

Actors pushed to the limit

Ranveer Singh and Arjun Rampal pushed themselves physically during the shoot. The action director shared that both actors were injured multiple times while filming a chain-fight sequence. Even though rubber chains were used for safety, they still caused pain.Despite this, the actors continued performing without stopping, even during rehearsals. Their commitment added to the authenticity of the action scenes.
