Dhanbad: Two days after 16-year-old Rishav Nishant reportedly fell from the fifth-floor terrace of an apartment building at Vidyasagar Apartment on Luby Circular Road, he succumbed to injuries on Monday.The Class 11 student of Delhi Public School was taken to the Sadar Hospital, from where he was shifted to a private facility. On Monday morning, doctors referred him to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) in Ranchi. But he died on the way near Bokaro.Doctors said the boy had suffered multiple injuries.Rishav’s father, Kamta Prasad, has lodged an FIR with Dhanbad police against his neighbour, Kuber Singh, and son Siddharth Singh. He claimed that on the day of the incident, he saw Siddharth leaving the apartment in the morning. Later, he was informed that his son had fallen from the terrace. The father further alleged that Rishav faintly told doctors, “Someone pushed me,” though he did not name anyone.The family members of the deceased also cited earlier disputes between Rishav and Siddharth.Officer in-charge of the Dhanbad police station Manoj Pandey said, “A formal statement has been recorded after the boy’s death. We are examining footage of CCTV cameras installed in the premises and neighbourhood areas. Residents will also be questioned.”
