Dhanbad: Local MLA Raj Sinha called off his indefinite stir on Saturday after the district administration assured to convene a meeting on May 2 to conduct an in-depth review of the technical aspects of the subsidence zone in Kenduadih.Sinha had been leading the stir to seek reopening of the Dhanbad-Ranchi road in Kenduadih, which has been shut for commuters after developing cracks earlier this month. Besides the reopening of the road, Sinha is also demanding permanent solution to land subsidence and toxic gas leakage.Dhanbad deputy commissioner assured Sinha that a report prepared by the Directorate General of Mines Safety to adopt a scientific and sustainable approach to address the hazards will also be discussed. “This is a fight for the protection and respect of our citizens. Until a permanent solution is achieved for Kenduadih, our struggle will continue,” he asserted.
