* 100 advanced ICT labs in Delhi government schools |
10 February 2026 | New Delhi: In a major push to strengthen digital education in government schools, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta today inaugurated 100 advanced ICT labs across Delhi government schools. The labs have been set up under the Digital Equalizer Program of the American India Foundation (AIF), in partnership with Ladli Foundation Trust. The inauguration ceremony was held at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Mansarovar Garden.
The event was graced by Education Minister Shri Ashish Sood, Director of Education , Veditha Reddy , AIF CEO Nishant Pandey , Founder of Ladli Foundation Devendra Kr. Gupta along with senior education officials, school principals, teachers, and students.
Under this initiative, each of the 100 schools has been equipped with a state-of-the-art ICT lab featuring 20 computers and one Interactive Flat Panel Display (IFPD). To ensure the labs are used effectively, each school gets a trained resource person to help teachers and students with digital learning.
The initiative supports students as education becomes more digital. Many government school students have had limited access to technology, which has affected their ability to learn basic digital skills. These ICT labs help close this gap by bringing reliable, hands-on digital learning directly into school classrooms.
Speaking at the launch, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi said, “Before completing one year of our government, we have delivered a century of 100 computer labs for Delhi’s marginalised students. We thank the American India Foundation and Ladli Foundation for partnering with us in this important mission.”
Education Minister Shri Ashish Sood said, “within the government’s commitment to strengthening digital education and equipping students with practical computer skills essential for higher education and future careers.”
Nishant Pandey, CEO, AIF, said, “Through the Digital Equalizer Program, we aim to reduce learning inequities by expanding access to technology and building digital confidence among students. These labs will open new learning and career pathways for thousands of young learners.”
Devendra Kumar, Founder, Ladli Foundation, added, With this initiative we are working to bridge the biggest divide of this decade which is a Digital Divide for marginalized students. Digital access is directly linked to education outcomes and future livelihoods. This initiative is an important step toward bridging the digital divide and ensuring that students in government schools can compete equally in a rapidly digitizing world.”
