Gorakhpur: Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University has received national recognition for its contribution to digital learning through the SWAYAM-NPTEL platform.It received a citation for registering more than 1.10 lakh learners on the SWAYAM-NPTEL platform, one of the highest enrolment figures in the region.The university was honoured during the North Zone SWAYAM-NPTEL SPOC felicitation workshop held at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur on Saturday.Prof. Ajay Kumar Shukla, the university’s SWAYAM-NPTEL nodal officer and Single Point of Contact (SPOC), was presented a certificate of appreciation by Prof. Satyaki Roy and Bharathi, head of operations and planning at National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning. University officials said the achievement was made possible through the integration of SWAYAM courses with Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC) and Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) in accordance with the provisions of theNational Education Policy 2020.Vice-chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon termed the recognition a reflection of the university’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation and digital education.
