Srinagar, Jun 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, on Thursday reviewed and finalized arrangements for the forthcoming re-examination of NEET-2026 scheduled to be held on June 21.
The meeting, held at the DC Office Complex, focused on ensuring the smooth, fair and transparent conduct of the examination. Detailed discussions were held regarding the deployment of examination staff, including Centre Superintendents, invigilators and supporting personnel, besides secure transportation and handling of examination materials.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, proper seating arrangements etc at all designated examination centres. He stressed the importance of effective inter-departmental coordination and strict adherence to the guidelines issued by NTA.
Labroo also called for the establishment of a Joint Control Room for real-time monitoring of examination centres through live CCTV feeds and directed agencies to strengthen surveillance mechanisms.
Meanwhile, SSP Srinagar reviewed security arrangements and instructed officers to implement a comprehensive security plan to prevent any malpractice. Traffic management, emergency response systems and law-and-order measures around examination centres were also reviewed to facilitate hassle-free movement of candidates and staff.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Additional Deputy Commissioner Aadil Fareed, Nodal Principal Colleges, Prof. Seema Naaz, Joint Commissioner SMC, Nuzhat Qureshi, Probationer Alfred Thomas, SP Headquarter, Umar Shah, CPO Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Secretary SMC, Tahir Magray, SDM West, Irfan Bahadur, SDM, East, Zubair Ahmad, ACR, Umar Gulzar, CEO, Gh Mohi-ud Din, all Tehsildars, representatives of NTA, senior Officers of the District Administration, Traffic Police, and Centre Supervisors.
