Rourkela: Daily-wage worker Hiradhar Sahu, a resident of Panposh here, was one proud father, who walked with his head held high. His daughter Archita Sahu not just topped the arts stream in her school by scoring 95.17% in Annual Higher Secondary Examination (AHSE) — the results of which were declared on Wednesday — but she was also among the top scorers in entire Sundargarh district.Archita, who hails from Badgagua in Bonai subdivision of Sundargarh district but resides in Panposh with her father Hiradhar and homemaker mother, secured 571 out of 600 marks.Archita, who studied at Government Higher Secondary School, Rourkela, was on cloud nine after the results came out.“I am delighted with my result. Hard work and focus are key to my success. I studied for five to six hours regularly, and during exams, the study time increased to 10 hours daily. The credit for my success goes to my parents, teachers and principal,” said Archita who aims to pursue graduation in arts at Government Autonomous College here and aspires to crack Odisha Public Service Commission.Hiradhar expressed pride over her success. “I am very happy that my daughter has secured such good marks. I am proud of her,” he said.
