Pune: A daily wage worker allegedly strangled his wife to death using a wire at their residence in Chakan on Friday evening and later walked into the Chakan North police station.Inspector Jitendra Kadam of Chakan North police station said, “We have identified the deceased woman as Badma Pathan (27). And we have arrested her husband, Rafiq (33), a native of Dharwad in Karnataka. He walked into the police station around 5 pm, and told the policemen that he had killed his wife. He said he used to have regular arguments with his wife, owing to domestic issues. On Friday, they had a fight which ended in him killing her.”“Upon questioning how he had killed his wife, he showed us a video on his mobile phone. Thereafter, we visited his home and found Badma lying motionless with a wire around her neck”, he added.The victim’s father Maqbool Nadaf (52) lodged a complaint. The couple has a daughter and a son.
