Vasco: Work on the flyover connecting Dabolim international airport to Upasnagar, Sancoale, is expected to be completed by Oct, transport minister Mauvin Godinho said on Monday.“The contractor has assured that the flyover will be completed by Oct. The work was delayed after some pillars were demolished due to height issues within the funnel zone of Dabolim airport, citing risks to aircraft and passengers,” Godinho said.He said the contractor has now taken up the project on a war footing. “The rain could cause some hindrance, but despite that, the work will be completed within the given timeframe,” he added.On the water crisis in Mormugao taluka, Godinho said, “The supply of water from the Selaulim water treatment plant is being augmented, and the entire Mormugao taluka will receive over 100 MLD, up from the present supply of around 86 MLD.”He said the water woes in Mormugao taluka are expected to be resolved by Oct, according to a presentation recently made by PWD officials.
