Cuttack: The district administration is all set to celebrate ‘Cuttack Dahibara Aludam Day’ on March 1, highlighting the city’s most loved street delicacy.The festival, being celebrated for second year, will be held on lower Baliyatra ground. Over 50 popular ‘dahibara’ vendors from different parts of the city will serve thousands of food lovers at dedicated stalls and traditional set-ups, reflecting the authentic street-style charm.
Officials said the initiative, aims to promote Cuttack’s iconic dish at the state and national levels.Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde said dahibara aludam is not just food, it is an emotion and part of Cuttack’s identity. “Through Dahibara Divas, we want to recognise the hard work of our local vendors,” he said, adding that such initiatives will also help boost tourism and strengthen the local economy.The organisers will also set up a special selfie zone and host cultural programmes.Cuttack dahibara aludam association president Praditpa Behera said they are grateful to the district administration for recognising the dish. It will inspire the younger generation to carry forward this legacy, he added.
