Ara: CPI(ML) MP Sudama Prasad on Friday visited the family of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari (30), who died on Wednesday after sustaining injuries during an alleged exchange of fire with police at Belauti village under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district.Addressing a press conference, Prasad questioned the police action and demanded a high-level judicial probe into the incident. He alleged that the circumstances leading to the youth’s death were suspicious and said action against the guilty should go beyond suspension.Prasad described Bharat as a vocal advocate for the rehabilitation of flood and erosion victims of Jawaniya village, much of which was submerged by the Ganga last year. He claimed the youth’s demands were ignored by authorities and sought an explanation for the alleged lack of timely mental health support.The CPI(ML) also demanded Rs50 lakh compensation for the bereaved family, a govt job for one family member and registration of a criminal case against the policemen allegedly involved. Prasad said he would raise the issue in Parliament.
